Houston Area Housing Developments Rely on StrongBox

Date Posted: October 11, 2018

Our Decades Long Relationship with Architects and Contractors is Based on Trust and Product Quality
Over the years, a multitude of new housing developments and commercial projects throughout the greater Houston, Texas area continue to feature StrongBox Stainless Steel and Aluminum Enclosures from VIT.

This is largely due to the strong working relationship we have with landscape architectural firms like TBG Partners and Landscape Contractor Brian Schmitt of Shooter & Lindsey — who has been installing our enclosures for more than 25 years.

“We enjoy working with StrongBox products for several reasons,” says Schmitt. “Every enclosure is a good insulator because of its solid construction. They are also easy to install due to a concrete base and a quick bolt, and they are an excellent theft deterrent because all the components are hidden safely inside. In addition, the stainless steel and aluminum enclosures hold up really well in our humidity. We find their simple, sturdy design is not only aesthetically pleasing, but seems to disappear into the landscape,” explains Schmitt. “On top of that,
any time something is made in the USA, like all of their products, it’s always a good thing.”

A recent group of projects that feature our enclosures are the Master Plan Communities such as Harmony in Spring, Texas as well as Edgewater, and Tuscan Lakes just south of Houston. The communities are owned by area developer Johnson Development. Jaime Pujol is an associate landscape architect at TBG Partners and is responsible for landscape design for these projects. He specified StrongBox for these jobs.

“I’m a fan of StrongBox Enclosures because of the clean lines of their modern design, which creates a higher level of sophistication in their appearance that ties in very well with our plantings,” he says. “It’s a perfect look even when we have to install it front and center!” Pujol adds, “Our corporate philosophy is to incorporate various plants while selecting simple, yet aesthetically pleasing and unobtrusive products like StrongBox Enclosures into our design. We strive to create natural looking habitats where wildlife can thrive and residents can enjoy their natural surroundings as part of the regional corridor. StrongBox gives us just what we are looking for.”
